Experimental administration of estradiol and progesterone reduced perimenstrual exacerbation of suicidal ideation, suicide planning, depression, hopelessness, perceived stress, rejection sensitivity, and perceived burdensomeness, particularly within the perimenstrual (natural estradiol and progesterone withdrawal) days.

Association between high levels of comorbid anxiety and depressive symptoms and decreased likelihood of birth without intervention: A longitudinal prospective cohort study.

Persistently high levels of comorbid anxiety and depressive symptoms were related to a lower likelihood of birth without intervention (odds ratio 0.67, 95% confidence interval 0.47-0.95, P = 0.027) compared with the reference group (persistently low levels of symptoms), after adjusting for confounders.

Effect of pre-administration of esketamine intraoperatively on postpartum depression after cesarean section: A randomized, double-blinded controlled trial.

Esketamine was administered intravenously at a dose of 0.2 mg/kg after the infant was delivered in group E and equal volume of normal saline was given in group C. Stability of maternal postnatal bonding between 3 and 6 months: Associations with maternal mental health and infant temperament.

At 3 months, higher levels of maternal bonding were predicted by lower levels of tension and depression within the moms and by higher infants’ regulation scores. At 6 months, lower levels of tension and depression predicted higher levels of bonding.
